Every way to send transactional email, compared.
Ten products answer "how does my app send email", and they are not all competing for the same job: some are transactional APIs, one is raw infrastructure, some are marketing tools with a send endpoint attached. Each page says what the other product is for, where it beats us, and where we differ. Claims about other products were checked in July 2026.
Transactional email APIs
Built for the mail your product sends: receipts, password resets, verification links. An HTTP API, SDKs, delivery logs, and webhooks.
vs Resend
Resend set the standard for developer email. emails.sh matches the API shape, adds inbound receiving and replying, and an install path built for agents.
vs Postmark
Postmark is the deliverability-first sender with separate message streams. emails.sh compares on inbound, SDK breadth, and the agent install path.
vs SendGrid
SendGrid, owned by Twilio, sends at huge scale with marketing tools attached. emails.sh is smaller, quicker to integrate, and receives mail too.
vs Mailgun
Mailgun, owned by Sinch, pairs a sending API with routing, validation, and analytics. emails.sh is a smaller surface with stored, threaded inbound.
vs MailerSend
MailerSend is MailerLite's transactional product, with a drag-and-drop template editor and inbound routing. emails.sh is code-first with nine SDKs.
Marketing and lifecycle email
Campaigns, sequences, and a contact list first, with a transactional endpoint added on the side. We do this too now, priced by contacts stored, and these pages say where the other product is still the better tool.
vs Loops
Loops is lifecycle email for SaaS with a transactional endpoint attached. emails.sh does both jobs on one API, priced separately so you buy one or both.
vs Brevo
Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is an all-in-one marketing platform with email, SMS, CRM, and chat. emails.sh is only the transactional API, built for code.
vs Sendinblue
Sendinblue is now Brevo: same company, renamed in 2023. Here is the honest comparison against the platform, and where a transactional API fits instead.
Raw infrastructure
The sending pipe with nothing on top. Cheapest per email at volume, and every surface above it is yours to build.
SMTP relays
Point your existing mail code at a host that has reputation and see it arrive. No rewrite, and no API-shaped product either.
